ECO 200/GCU 350/GCH 440—Compact, Conventional Cylindrical Grinders
The conventional cylindrical grinders ECO 200, GCU 350 and GCH 440 deliver EMAG Weiss grinding quality, while minimizing investment costs. These precision cylindrical grinders are targeted to users who do not require a CNC control unit, but still set the highest requirements for machining quality.
ECO 200—cost-effective, highly accurate precision cylindrical grinder for the smallest workpieces
The ECO 200 is a simple, cost-effective, highly accurate precision cylindrical grinder with a tip width of 400 mm (16 in) and a tip height of 100 mm (4 in). The machine is easy to operate and access, which allows for fast machine tooling. The grinding headstock has a drive rating of 3.7 kW (5 hp) and can hold grinding wheels of up to 350 mm (14 in) in diameter. The workpiece headstock has an MK4 socket and enables continuous speed adjustment up to 500 rpm at a drive rating of 0.75 kW (1 hp). The tailstock has an MK3 socket with a quill stroke of 25 mm (1 in).
An internal grinding device featuring a spindle socket of 80 mm (3 in) in diameter and with a drive rating of 1.1 kW (2 hp) is also available.
GCU 350/GCH 440 cylindrical grinders for major grinding tasks
When it comes to major grinding tasks, the GCU 350 cylindrical grinder with a tip width between 630 - 1,200 mm (25 – 47 in) and a tip height of 180 mm (7 in) or the GCH 440 cylindrical grinder with a tip width ranging from 750 to 2,000 mm (30 – 79 in) and a tip height of 220 mm (9 in) is the right choice.
The grinding headstock has a highly accurate hydrodynamic spindle bearing, with a drive rating of 3.7 kW (5 hp) and can hold grinding wheels of up to 350 mm (14 in) in diameter. The maximum grinding length is 1,150 mm (45 in) for the GCU 350 or 2,000 mm (79 in) for the GCH 440. The GCU 350 is capable of machining workpieces with a maximum outside diameter of 160 mm (6 in) and a weight of up to 80 kg (176 lbs) between the tips. On the GCH 440, the maximum workpiece weight between the tips is 250 kg (551 lbs), while the maximum outside diameter that can be ground is 250 mm (10 in).
The workpiece headstock has an MK5 socket and enables continuous speed adjustment up to 630 rpm at a drive rating ranging from 0.5 kW (0.7 hp) for the GCU 350 to 2.2 kW (3 hp) for the GCH 440.
The tailstock of the GCU 350 has an MK4 socket with a quill stroke of 20 mm (0.8 in), while that of the GCH 440 features an MK5 socket with a quill stroke of 40 mm (2 in).
An internal grinding device with a spindle socket of 80 mm (3 in) in diameter and a drive rating of 1.5 kW (2 hp) is available for both cylindrical grinders.
