The VLC 250 vertical turning center has been designed for different manufacturing technologies. Whether turning and milling operations with high chip removal or gentle grinding operations are required, the VLC 250 production machine allows the application of almost any machining technology.

The vertical turning center VLC 250 is a cross-operated, vertical manufacturing system, with its universal application being one of its main assets. The application determines the number and position of turrets and the type of automation needed. The production machine concept also accommodates different machining technologies, such as turning, drilling, grinding, milling and the use of multi-technology units with tool changer.

The VLC 250 WF Vertical Turning Center – turning, gear hobbing & deburring. The VLC 250 WF machine is designed for the machining of gears up to 230 mm in dia. and module 4. The VLC 250 WF machine offers user flexibility, because it can be used as a single-spindle vertical turning center, a hobbing machine, or a combination of both. Its main range of application is the precision machining of gear profiles in medium and large batches.

Vertical turning center VLC 250 DS – combination turning & grinding.

The VLC 250 DS vertical turning center combines the advantages of vertical hard turning and grinding – on a single machine and in a single setup. The machine will always use the process that is best for the manufacture of each workpiece, based on its quality requirements. Therefore, it always offers the greatest economic advantage. Another advantage for the customer is the machine’s flexibility in choosing the best technology for each job: hard turning, peeling or grinding –all on one machine.

Typical workpieces are gears, sprockets, sliding coupling, CVT components, link pins, con rods, rocker arms, bearing and piston rings.
